The first Backstreet Boys baby girl has arrived. AJ McLean has confirmed his wife Rochelle gave birth to their daughter in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Baby Ava Jaymes arrived early in the morning weighing just over 7 lbs. She is the first child for the couple.
“Rochelle and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our baby,” the 34-year-old singer wrote on his website. “She arrived at 4:51 a.m. weighing 7 lbs., 7 oz. We are so in love with our bundle of joy and happy to have started our family now.”
The McLeans revealed the pregnancy in April in a Youtube video. “Because we love you all so much, we wanted to share with you -- for the first time -- something very special,” McLean said.
"We're having a baby!” the couple said in unison.
McLean then proudly wore a “Daddy-to-be” shirt at a Backstreet Boys’ concert in London. "Another Backstreet baby, I've got a feeling it's going to be a girl! My wife is out there, I love you. I'm going to be a dad, what more can I say?" he told the audience.
Ava joins three Backstreet children – Brian Littrell’s son 10-year-old son Baylee, Kevin Richardson’s 5-year-old son Mason, and Howie Dorough’s 3-year-old son James. Nick Carter does not have any children.
