Legal issues just keep piling up for Lindsay Lohan. Hours after the actress was arrested for assault in New York City, California prosecutors charged her with three misdemeanors in a June 8th car accident. Lohan is accused of lying to police about who was behind the wheel of her Porsche when it collided with a dump truck on Pacific Coast Highway. Lohan told officers her assistant was driving at the time of the crash, but an investigation determined that it was actually Lohan who was in the driver’s seat.
The Liz and Dick star has been charged with reckless driving, providing false information and obstructing or resisting a police officer. The charges could result in a judge finding Lohan in violation of the terms of her probation in a 2011 jewelry theft case. Lohan could receive up to 245 days in jail for probation violation.
Lohan is also facing an assault charge in New York. She was arrested early this morning after allegedly punching 28-year-old Tiffany Eve Mitchell at Manhattan’s Avenue nightclub. According to reports, the incident happened after Lohan and Mitchell exchanged words. Lohan is said to have asked Mitchell for space. An insider said Lohan then sat down briefly, but got back up and punched Mitchell. Mitchell called police.
As Lohan was being handcuffed she reportedly said, "Oh my God! I didn't touch anyone!"
