NBA Scores from Jan 21; Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Shawn Marion and Brandon Roy lead their teams to wins
Josh Howard scored 25 points and had 9 rebounds while Dirk Nowitzki finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Dallas Mavericks (34-8) continued to roll, beating the Miami Heat (18-22) 99-93. Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Tim Duncan had 17 points and 15 rebounds and Brent Barry added 23 points as the San Antonio Spurs (29-13) beat the Philadelphia 76ers (11-30) 99-85. San Antonio established a 20 point lead at the half and never had a problem with the 76ers. Andre Iguodala led Philly with 20 points.
Shawn Marion scored 17 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, Amare Stoudemire added 25 points and 8 rebounds, and Steve Nash had 16 points and 11 assists at the Phoenix Suns (32-8) blew out the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-19) 131-102. The Suns outscored the Wolves 46-20 in the third quarter and grabbed 14 more rebounds in the game than Minnesota. Playing with Kevin Garnett who is serving a one game suspension for throwing a puch the wolves were led by Randy Foye who had 25 points.
Brandon Roy scored 28 points and had 9 rebounds to help the Portland Trail Blazers (17-25) fend off a late rally and beat the Milwaukee Bucks (17-23) 98-95. Zach Randolph finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds for Portland while Martell Webster came off the bench to score 15 points. Earl Boykins led the Bucks with 28 points in the loss.
