ABOUT Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF

Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (the Fund) seeks to replicate as closely as possible the price and yield performance of the NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index (the Index) by investing in a portfolio of securities that generally replicates the Index. The Index, calculated by the NYSE Alternext, is a modified market capitalization-weighted index that provides exposure to publicly traded companies worldwide involved primarily in the mining for gold. The Index comprises a range of small, medium and large-cap companies in any gold mining index. Companies eligible for inclusion in Index should be involved primarily in mining for gold with market capitalization exceeding $100 million, and should have a daily average trading volume of at least 50,000 shares over past six months. The Fund’s investment advisor is Van Eck Associates Corporation.
