Just over a month after insiders confirmed her split from Connor Kennedy, Taylor Swift has gone public with a new boy toy. The singer was spotted holding hands with One Direction musician Harry Styles early Tuesday in New York City.
The sighting came after a busy night for Swift, 22, and Styles, 18. Swift was honored at the 2012 Ripple of Hope Awards by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Right while Styles performed with One Direction at Madison Square Garden. The couple then met up at One Direction’s afterparty. They left together and were spotted holding hands outside Swift’s hotel around 4:15 a.m.
Neither Swift nor Styles has commented.
The budding romance comes about 5 weeks after a close friend of Swift’s revealed the Red singer ended her relationship with Connor Kennedy because of work and traveling.
"They quietly parted ways a while ago. It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine,” the friend told Us Weekly magazine.
"It's been over a month since they've even seen each other,” the insider said. "With her promotion for Red, she has no time off until the end of the year."
Kennedy and Swift began dating in July. Swift previously dated Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas, Twilight star Taylor Lautner and actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
