Remains found in a Yale University medical research building
on Sunday has been identified as that of missing graduate student Annie Le,
medical examiners announced Monday.
Le’s body was found stuffed behind a wall in the basement
of the building “in something called a chase, which is a space that carries
utilities from one floor to another,” said police spokesman Joe Avery.
Bloody clothing was also found hidden in ceiling tiles in
the building.
Le, 24, was last seen entering the building Tuesday
around 10 a.m. she was set to marry her fiancé, Columbia University graduate
student Jonathan Widawsky, on Sunday.
Police have not revealed whether they have any suspects.
