Bass Titan Victor Wooten Scheduled to Drop Bombs on the El Rey Theatre on February 22
Flecktones and all-around infamous bassist Victor Wooten is hitting up the El Rey Theatre in February to melt faces, as usual. Wooten, possibly the most influential bassist since the late Jaco Pastorius, is world renowned for taking the bass guitar to new heights in projects ranging from Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, to Bass Extremes (with Steve Bailey and Oteil Burbridge), to Wooten’s own solo shows. His musical vocabulary with the instrument is nothing short of mind-bending, sure to give the audience one of the best low-end packed Friday nights of their year. Don’t miss it!
