Troubled Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is now a married woman! The 20-year-old tied the knot with her boyfriend of 3 months, Courtland Rogers, in a surprise courthouse wedding on Tuesday. RadarOnline.com reports the ceremony occurred just minutes after Rogers attended a hearing in which he was charged with “obtaining property by false pretenses,” a felony. It isn’t the single dad’s first run-in with the law – he completed stints in jail in 2011 and 2006.
"Straight after that court hearing was finished Jenelle and Courtland got married at the magistrate's office,” a source told Radar.
Evans’ marriage came as a shock to her family, according to her sister Ashleigh. "My mother was totally shocked and had to hear it from someone else. Our whole family is shocked because they have not been dating very long. I'm sure she did this to distract from all the drug accusations that have been flying around and of course she thinks it will help her get custody of [her son] Jace back from mom if she is married. At this point, after all that she has been through, she should know better than this,” says Ashleigh.
The newlyweds will hold a ceremony for family and friends in the spring, according to E! news. Evans and Rogers began dating in September. Earlier in the year Evans broke off her engagement to Gary Head and then briefly reunited with on-and-off boyfriend Kieffer Delp. Evans has a 3-year-old son named Jace with ex-boyfriend Andrew Lewis.
