More than a year after calling off their wedding, it looks like Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris are ready to give it another shot. The couple obtained a marriage license Tuesday at the Beverly Hills courthouse. TMZ reports Hefner, 86, and Harris, 26, plan to exchange vows in a New Year’s Eve ceremony at the Playboy Mansion.
Hefner and Harris got engaged for the second time on Saturday. Hefner originally popped the question with a 3 carat diamond ring in on Christmas Eve in 2010. Harris split from the Playboy mogul in June 2011 just one week before their wedding. She later told Ryan Seacrest that she ended the relationship because she did not like Hefner’s lifestyle.
“This isn't the lifestyle for me,” Harris told Seacrest in a radio interview. "For a while, I'd been having second thoughts about everything, so I haven't really been at peace with myself lately. It was all just happening too fast for me. I just sat back and thought about it all. Is this what I wanted? And it wasn't."
Harris confirmed their on-again romance in June of this year. "Yes, Hugh Hefner and I are back together," she Tweeted. "Yes I am his #1 girl again. Yes we are happy. Hope that clears up any confusion! XO."
