Dweezil Zappa has been extending the legacy of his father, the late, great Frank Zappa for the past six years with an all-star lineup that frequently features many of Frank’s former musical cohorts. Zappa plays Zappa pays homage to the elder Zappa’s massive musical catalogue by performing many of the compositions as Frank and his ever rotating lineups once did, even down to the idiosyncratic soloing of the late bandleader. If you are a fan of Frank’s incisive, parodic humor, intricate compositions, or just love virtuosic playing, do yourself a favor and check this show out.
