Florida Gators, Wisconsin Badgers, UCLA Bruins and North Carolina Tar Heels hold their spots, Marquette Golden Eagled jump nine spots, Indiana Hoosiers, USC Trojans, and Washington State Cougars replace Texas Longhorns, Tennessee Volunteers and Kentucky Wildcats in Top 25.
The #1 Florida Gators remained in the top spot this week after handling their SEC rival Mississippi 79-70 on Saturday. SEC action continues for the Gators this week as they take on Mississippi State on Wednesday and then face Auburn on Saturday.
Holding strong at #2 are the Wisconsin Badgers. They survived a 69-64 battle with Purdue on Wednesday and then beat Illinois 71-64 on Saturday in Big 10 conference play. The Badgers will take on Michigan this Wednesday and then play at Iowa on Sunday.
Staying at #3 this week are the Bruins of UCLA. They has a strong week after beating Arizona State 60-50 on Thursday and then beating then #11 Arizona 73-69 on Saturday. The Bruins have two road games this week, California on Thursday and Stanford on Sunday.
The North Carolina Tar Heels maintained their #4 ranking in the AP Top 25 with impressive wins this past week. They blew out #19 Clemson 77-55 on Wednesday and then did the same to Georgia Tech on Saturday 77-61. On Wednesday the Tar Heels will go on the road to take on Wake Forest and then travel to Arizona for a Saturday contest against the #17 Wildcats.
Ohio State moved up two spots to #5 this week after beating Northwestern 73-41 on Wednesday and then Iowa 82-63 on Saturday. The Buckeyes will play at Northwestern on Wednesday before hosting Michigan State on Saturday.
The Texas A&M Aggies jumped two spots as well to land at #6 this week. They pounded then #12 Oklahoma State 67-49 on Saturday in their only game of the week. They will be facing in-state rival Texas Tech on Wednesday and then take on Oklahoma on Saturday.
Oregon moved up to #7 this week after a pair of PAC 10 victories. The Ducks handed Stanford a 66-59 loss on Thursday and then beat California 92-84 two days later. Oregon will have Washington on Thursday and then face #20 Washington State Saturday.
The Kansas Jayhawks fell three spots to #8 this week after their loss to unranked Texas Tech on Saturday. The Jayhawks had struggled on Monday to get past Missouri 80-77. Kansas will take on Baylor on Wednesday and then Saturday they will be matched up against Colorado.
A 77-74 overtime loss to then #24 Marquette on Sunday dropped the Pittsburgh Panthers three spots to #9 in the AP Top 25. Pitt beat UConn 63-54 on Tuesday before falling to the Golden Eagles
The Duke Blue Devils are back in the Top 10 at #10 after blowing out a pair of ACC rivals. On Thursday they beat Wake Forest 62-40 and then trounced N.C. State 79-56 on Saturday. The Blue Devils face a tough schedule this week with #19 Clemson on Thursday and Boston College on Sunday.
