The Wizard of Woo Bernie Worrell Brings His Orchestra to The Mint in January
Keyboard virtuoso and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Bernie Worrell is bringing his 9-piece band to LA’s, The Mint, for a night of original compositions and “Woo-ified” standards. The legendary iconoclast that has made music history as a founding member of Parliament Funkadelic, as well as a touring and session contributor to works ranging from Talking Heads to Keith Richards. With a palette that completely runs the gamut from classical, to cartoon music, to deep space, Bernie is one of the most recognisable musicians on the planet and has pushed the boundaries of the keyboard far beyond most of his contemporaries. He is a walking musical giant that cannot be ignored. Check him out with the Bernie Worrell Orchestra January 18th with an opening set from NVO.
