Kate Middleton Returns To Kensington Palace To Rest

After nearly 4 days of treatment for acute morning sickness, pregnant Kate Middleton left King Edward VII hospital Thursday around 10:45 a.m. Wearing a navy blue coat and flat boots, the Duchess of Cambridge was escorted out of the hospital by Prince William. She smiled at reporters and nodded when one asked her if she was feeling better.

William and Kate released a brief statement through a royal spokesperson. “The Duchess of Cambridge has been discharged from the King Edward VII Hospital and will now head to Kensington Palace for a period of rest," the spokesperson said. "Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank the staff at the hospital for the care and treatment The Duchess has received."

No other details on the Duchess’s condition have been released. St. James Palace was forced to announce Kate’s pregnancy Monday when she was admitted to the hospital. Since the pregnancy is its "very early stages" details like the baby’s due date were not revealed.
