Coral Gables High School Student Stabbed to Death

Florida police are investigating the stabbing death of a student at Coral Gables High School. A student was stabbed to death Tuesday at the school and a suspect is reportedly in custody.

“Miami-Dade Schools Police is working with Coral Gables Police following an act of violence against a student. The school is currently under lockdown,” Miami-Dade Public Schools said in a statement.

According to reports, two students were fighting in a courtyard area of the school when one pulled out a switchblade and stabbed the other in the chest. The suspect reportedly fled and scene but was later found.

No other details were available. The names of the victim and suspect were not released.
