Paris Hilton was sentenced to three years’ probation after pleading no contest to reckless driving charge that took place last September. The “Simple Life” star and socialite extraordinaire opted not to have her probation sentence reduced to 24-months in exchange for 40-hours of community service.
Hilton has contended that “one drink on an empty stomach after a full day’s work.” Was what led to her questionable driving skills. Witnesses had seen Hilton driving her Mercedes-Benz SLR in an erratic fashion before LA Police arrested her.
The 25-year-old blonde and former party pal with Britney Spears was also ordered to pay $495 and attend an alcohol-education program.
Hilton’s sentence of three years’ probation is the same sentence handed down to Mel Gibson when he was arrested for driving drunk last July.
