Raymond Clark Suspected in Murder of Annie Le

New Haven police took 24-year-old Raymond Clark in to custody Tuesday in the investigation of the murder of Yale graduate student Annie Le. Authorities arrested Clark in order to execute a warrant to collect DNA samples from him and take items from the Middleton home he shares with his fiancé, Jennifer Hromadka. According to reports, Clark failed an FBI lie detector test and had scratches on his chest.

Clark was not charged and is not named a suspect in the case. He works in the same Yale medical research building where Le worked and where her body was found Sunday. It is unclear if he is still in police custody. Police said the DNA test results would be available in 24 to 72 hours.

Le, 24, went missing Tuesday, September 8. She was last seen entering the Amistad medical research building around 10 that morning. Le’s body was discovered stuffed behind a wall in the building’s basement on Sunday, the day she was to be married to fiancé Jonathan Widawsky. The Los Angeles Times reports only someone very familiar with the building’s basement would have hidden her body there. Clark works in the basement.
