Jay-Z Breaks Elvis Record, Tops Billboard Charts for 11th Time with “Blueprint” 3

Jay-Z topped the Billboard 200 charts for the 11th time with his latest album “The Blueprint 3”, according to Nielsen SoundScan on Wednesday.

“The Blueprint 3” sold 476,000 copies in its debut week after being released three days earlier than its original Sept. 11 release date due to piracy. This means that the rapper has topped the charts on every single studio solo album in his catalog.

Jay-Z now moves above Elvis Presley as the solo act with the most No. 1 albums in the more-than 50-year history of the Billboard 200. Jay will now have the second-most No. 1 albums among all acts, behind only the Beatles, with 19 No. 1s.

The album features Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy, Rihanna, Kanye West, Drake, Kid Cudi, Luke Steele, Mr. Hudson and J. Cole, Jay-Z's first artist on his new label Roc Nation. It also features production from West, No I.D., Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.
