Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada – The Canadian Narconon drug rehab urges schools and parents to keep on top of informative drug education for children. With the majority of kids just starting to go back to school across the country this month, many parents worry if this could be the year their child starts either experimenting or abusing drugs or alcohol. “Drug and alcohol addiction can strike children at very young ages, and many children do not have the right information about what drugs are,” said Nick Hayes, a representative of Narconon Trois-Rivieres. “The Narconon drug prevention program is one of the most effective across the country, and we hope on getting an early start with our drug prevention lectures this school year.”
Synthetic drug abuse has been an ongoing problem among young people throughout most of Canada and has been the topic of much news with the release of the United Nations 2009 Drug Report this year. The schoolyard is sometimes the first place a young person can get influenced to use drugs and from there could end up trying drugs at a friend’s house or a party. Drug education is extremely important in schools and unfortunately is not given enough throughout most of the grade schools across Canada and is not delivered often enough in high school.
The Narconon Trois-Rivieres
