Throughout the jury questioning, it seemed most likely that Lisa Whelchel or Michael Scupin would be crowned the sole survivor. They fielded more questions that sex therapist Denise Stapley and seemed to elicit more goodwill among the jurors, but in the end is was Denise that outwitted, outplayed and outlasted. She was crowned the sole Survivor and handed the $1 million prize.
Denise perhaps endured more game changes than any of the other castaways – she attended every single tribal council of the season and navigated her way through three tribes. The alliance she formed with Malcolm early on in the game was a key part of her strategy, and turning on him right before the last tribal council was a game winning move.
Survivor fans can now look forward to season 26 of Survivor. Fans vs. Favorites is being brought back for the next season, which is set to start on February 13.
