The Impossible, starring Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor, Tom Holland, Samuel Joslin, Oaklee Pendergast, Marta Etura, Sönke Möhring and Geraldine Chaplin, opens in theaters Friday, December 21. The drama is based on the true story of a family that experienced the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami while vacationing in Thailand.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 43 minutes and is rated PG 13 for intense realistic disaster sequences, disturbing injury images and brief nudity.
