This holiday season turned out to be extra special for Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy! The couple welcomed son Cyrus Michael just in time for Christmas. Danes, 33, gave birth to Cyrus on Monday, December 17.
Cyrus weighed just under 7 lbs., Dancy told family and friends in an email birth announcement. "Mother and baby are well, healthy, and happy," he added, according to Page Six. "Together we send our love to you all."
Cyrus is the first child for Danes and 37-year-old Dancy, who wed in 2009 after 3 years of dating. Danes announced her pregnancy in July just ahead of the Emmy Awards where she picked up Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role on Showtime’s Homeland. The second season of the series recently ended. Homeland also stars Damien Lewis and Mandy Patinkin.
