Registered dietitian, Jayson Hunter reveals four tips on healthy eating for a long and healthy life. He believes that by following tips on healthy eating, we can restrict and altogether avoid eating junk foods the whole day.

Hunter explains, “How many of us don’t have a liking for some form of junk. In fact, most of us live off fast foods like chips, burgers, pizzas, etc. Tips on healthy eating ensure that we eat the right foods in the right quantities and at the right time”. He adds, “Following tips on healthy eating can inculcate a sense of good dietary habits in our everyday life”.

 

Here are Hunter’s top four tips on healthy eating:

1) Eat on time – Eating about 5-6 small meals a day is the ideal way to maintain your energy levels through the day. Ensure that you eat smaller portions more frequently. This is easily one the best tips on health eating.

 

2) Eat healthy home cooked meals – Eat home cooked meals as far as possible and avoid processed and packaged foods. Always opt for fresh foods cooked at home in a healthy way.

 

3) Reduce your sugar intake – This does not mean avoid sugar. You should limit your intake of the sugary stuff like colas, pastries, etc. Too much sugar is actually bad for health and can cause diabetes in the long run. This is another important tip on healthy eating.

 

4) Don’t starve yourself – Tips on healthy eating don’t involve any form of dieting or restricting you from consuming certain foods. They just involve some level of moderation and discipline.
