It looks like a Christmas engagement may be in the works for Teen Mom stars Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards. Early Thursday on Twitter, Edwards asked Bookout to marry him.
“Maci Bookout marry me!” Edwards wrote.
Bookout was skeptical that Edwards was the author of the message. "Ur s--t got hacked BRO!" Bookout Tweeted. "Outta ur mind haha."
Edwards insisted his account had not been hacked. “I would never let that happen,” he wrote.
“I don’t know what that means,” Bookout replied.
“It means I want to get on one knee and tell you how much I love you,” responded Edwards.
"Twitter is not the place," Bookout wrote back. "Ima kill u."
The pair split shortly after the birth of their son Bentley in 2008. Their relationship after the breakup was often rocky. In 2010, Bookout explained to MTV, "As for my relationship with Ryan ... he and I had gone through so much, but we weren't making it. I eventually realized that he wasn't going to be my life partner -- things just weren't the way they should have been. I knew we would always have to be parents together, but there was no way for us to live our lives together."
The proposal comes just a week after Edwards confirmed his split from girlfriend Dalis Connell. Bookout split from longtime boyfriend Kyle King in September.
