In an effort to bring transparency and legitimacy to the Apple iPod and iPhone Repair Industry, one of the leading repair sites, milliamp.com, has just announced the founding of Repair-Consortium.org. The goal of this group is to identify reputable iPhone and iPod repair companies and help give customers that extra level of comfort when deciding to select an online company to repair their broken iPod or iPhone.
“Being a Founding Member of Repair-Consortium.org is a great honor, and something that me and a few others in the iPod repair industry have discussed for a while now.”, said Anthony Magnabosco, the owner of the iPhone repairing website milliamp.com. “Getting customers to trust you enough to send in their expensive iPod or iPhone is a high hurdle to overcome for an online repair company, and being a member of Repair-Consortium.org can help give those needing repairs that additional piece of mind they require.”, continued Magnabosco.
The organization was founded in August, 2009 by a handful of the leading Apple iPod and iPhone repair companies online today, but this press release is the formal announcement by milliamp.com to highlight their key role in founding the group.
There are several levels of designations that an online repair company can have as a member of Repair-Consortium.org: Founder, Charter Member, Member, Applicant, and Partner. The group is looking for other interested iPod and iPhone repair companies who are interested in joining Repair-Consortium.org and becoming Members of the organization, although not just anyone can join. “In order to ensure its members are of the highest caliber, several requirements have to met in order for a repair company to be eligible to join this new organization, all of which can be found at the new website.”, added Magnabosco.
Members of Repair-Consortium.org are allowed to display the organizations’ seal with their respective designation on their eCommerce website. When customers click on that graphic, they can learn more about the organization and the requirements needed to be recognized as a member.
“Being a Founder in this fledgling organization make me very proud, and knowing that these efforts will help put customers’ worries about shipping their iPod or iPhone off to an online repair company makes it very worthwhile.”, said Magnabosco. “This should really help differentiate the reputable and trustworthy repair companies from the fly-by-night companies that may not be around tomorrow.”, added Magnabosco.
