NBA Scores from Jan. 24; Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Tracy McGrady, and Zach Randolph lead their teams to wins.
Andre Iguodala scored 34 points and dealt 9 assists and Samuel Dalembert added 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers (13-30) beat the Cleveland Cavaliers (24-18) 118-115 in double overtime. LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 39 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
The Toronto Raptors (21-22) came back form a 12 point halftime deficit to beat the NO/Oklahoma City Hornets (16-25) 90-88. Chris Bosh scored 35 points and had 7 rebounds while Anthony Parker added 12 points and 9 boards in the Raptors win. Rasual Butler had 19 points to lead the Hornets.
Troy Murphy scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Jermaine O’Neal added 10 points and 13 rebounds as the Indiana Pacers (22-20) beat the Miami Heat (19-23) 96-94 in overtime. The Pacers rallied from a 13 point fourth quarter deficit send the game into overtime/ Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 32 points.
Richard Hamilton scored 22 points to lead the Detroit Pistons (24-16) past the Charlotte Bobcats (14-27) 103-92. The Pistons got 20 points from Rasheed Wallace and Chris Webber finished with 19 points and 6 rebounds in the win. Gerald Wallace led the Bobcats with 29 points and 11 rebounds.
Joe Johnson scored 21 points and Josh Smith added another 21 and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Atlanta Hawks (14-26) beat the Boston Celtics (12-29) 82-76. While the Hawks shot just 36 percent from the floor the Celtics could only manage to shoot 31 percent while losing their ninth straight. Kendrick Perkins finished with 15 points and 12 boards for the Celtics.
Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points and had 11 rebounds, Shawn Marion had 20 points and 10 boards, and Steve Nash finished with 22 points and 14 assists as the Phoenix Suns (34-8) beat the New York Knicks (18-26) 112-107. The win was the 15th in a row for the Suns. Jamal Crawford led the Knicks with 29 points and 11 assists.
Tracy McGrady scored 37 points and 8 rebounds while Rafer Alston scored 19 points and 7 assists to lead the Houston Rockets (26-16) past the San Antonio Spurs (30-14) 90-85. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 37 points and 10 rebounds. Houston shot 6-15 from beyond the three-point line while San Antonio was a miserable 2-16 from the same distance.
Chucky Atkins scored 29 points and dished out 15 assists as the Memphis Grizzlies (11-32) beat the Utah Jazz (28-15) 132-130 in overtime. Pau Gasol recorded atriple-double for the Grizzlies, scoring 17 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and handing out 12 assists. Carlos Boozer led the Jazz with 39 points and 15 boards.
The Sacramento Kings (17-23) shot 53 percent from the floor to beat the Milwaukee Bucks (17-25) 114-106. Ron Artest scored 36 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Kings and Kenny Thomas added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the win. Earl Boykins led Milwaukee with 36 points in the loss.
Zach Randolph scored 22 points and pulled down 15 rebounds while Sergio Rodriguez came off the bench to score 18 points and the Portland Trail Blazers (18-25) beat the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-21) 101-98 in overtime Kevin Garnett had 31 points and 8 rebounds and Ricky Davis finished with 23 points for the Wolves.
The Golden State Warriors (20-23) overcame a 16 point deficit to beat the New Jersey Nets (20-22) 110-99. Al Harrington finished with 29 points and Baron Davis had 18 points and 10 assists in the win. Jason Kidd finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Vince Carter added 21 points and 13 assists to lead New Jersey.
