Battle Tested Falcons May be the Most Dangerous Team in the Playoffs
The Falcons have been put through it all this year, they have not only won games where they have everything up to speed, but they also, time and time again, win games deep in the trenches, they pull victories from the jaws of defeat. Yet even with this fact in front of everyone’s faces, the Falcons still do not get respect or garnish fear in other teams or fans.
In games that really separate the best from the rest, Matt Ryan put up 6 fourth quarter comebacks and two game winning drives in the final minute of the fourth quarter. Clearly, this Falcons team does not know how to give up.
In the postseason, there is no team more desperate to prove themselves than the Falcons, in years past they have been mocked for their lack of postseason success and this year has been no different. They have been made aware, on almost a daily basis, that their 5 dominant regular seasons are virtually meaningless without a postseason win to show for it.
2012 was a season for proving themselves, and they did it twice. Once against the Philadelphia Eagles, where they beat them 30-17, the second time was against the New York Giants, which was an even greater victory of 34-0. Both of these games were described as “must wins” by the players who observed that the Eagles and the Giants were said to be better teams.
Whoever gets to the Georgia Dome this January, will face a team that simply cannot lose. They do not want style points, nor glory, they simply need to win.
And that is why they are dangerous.
