#1 Florida Gators will battle their SEC East archrival Tennessee Volunteers in Gainesville on Saturday at 3:30pm ET on CBS.
The rivalry between UF and UT was heightened after new Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin made some recruiting allegations against Florida’s Urban Meyer over the summer. In addition, Kiffin said he would sing "Rocky Top" all night long after beating Florida this season.
Florida quarterback Tim Tebow leads the Gators’ high-powered offense, which leads the nation in total offense, averaging 643.5 yards a game, and top the country with 118 points. They also rank third in rushing yards with 330 per game.
The Vols defense will have a tough time, but are led by safety Eric Berry and linebacker Rico McCoy as the game showcases some of the nation’s top defensive stars. The Gators also boast All-SEC players: defensive linemen Jermaine Cunningham and Carlos Dunlap, linebackers Brandon Spikes and Ryan Stamper, and defensive backs Joe Haden, Major Wright and Ahmad Black.
The Gators have sat atop the AP and USA Today Top 25 college football rankings since the preseason.
