Jam Scene Vets Umphrey’s McGee Begin 4-Night New Year’s Celebration Run Friday in the ATL

Averaging over 120 shows per year since the late 90’s, Chicago natives Umphrey’s McGee have been steadily building their die-hard fan base across the country year after year. With an improvisation soaked, prog-style amalgam of original material with smatterings of bizarre and often humorous covers, they have firmly planted themselves as an unpredictable and powerful live music act.

To celebrate the end of 2012, they find themselves at Atlanta’s Tabernacle to bring one of their favorite spots a heaping dose of holiday festivities. The four night sold-out run will feature a live stream by StageIt, with the first three nights offering a food drive to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
