Legendary Jazz Fusion Guitarist Mike Stern Celebrates New Year’s Eve at NYC’s Iridium Jazz Club
Beginning his professional playing career at 22 with Blood, Sweat, & Tears, Stern went on the road with iconic drummer Billy Cobham’s band for a year before catching the ear of Miles Davis. The next 30 years would see him alongside such names as Jaco Pastorius, The Brecker Brothers, Joe Henderson, Mike Sanborn, John Scofield, and Bill Frisell, as well as garnering accolades like Grammy nominations, and topping polls year after year for categories like ‘Best Jazz Guitarist’.
Stern will be joined by very special guests Randy Brecker, Anthony Jackson, and Dave Weckl for five nights at Iridium to give 2012 a righteous send off. Check it out!
