Terrell Pryor was 17/28 passing for 262 yards and three touchdowns while adding another 110 yards on the ground and a score, Dane Sanzenbacher had 126 yards receiving and a pair of TDs on five catches and the Ohio State Buckeyes (2-1) defense limited the Toledo Rockets (1-2) offense to just 210 yards in a 38-0 blowout on Saturday.
Pryor showed no signs of throwing in the towel after last week’s disappointing loss to the USC Trojans as the sophomore quarterback got things going right away, hitting Sanzenbacher on a 76-yard touchdown pass just 1:47 into the game. The two hooked up again, this time on an 18-yard touchdown pass, later in the frame and the Buckeyes carried a 14-0 lead into the second.
Daniel Herron opened that second quarter with a 4-yard touchdown run and Aaron Pettrey capped the first half with a 47-yard field goal to put Ohio State in front 24-0 at the break.
After throwing for a pair of TDs in the first quarter Pryor found the endzone with his legs in the third as he crossed the goal line on a one-yard run to give the Buckeyes a 31-0 lead. Pryor then wrapped up his big day with a 4-yard touchdown pass to DeVier Posey in the fourth quarter.
