The Classic City Hosts The Ringers, Featuring: Jimmy Herring, Wayne Krantz, Michael Landau, Keith Carlock & Etienne Mbappe

The all-star jazz fusion lineup of The Ringers will be hitting Athens’ legendary Georgia Theatre for a night of jaw dropping instrumentals from some of the most respected international players in the improvisational scene. These five musical giants will be performing a repertoire of originals composed for this lineup, with selected covers, and tunes from each player’s own solo catalogue interspersed.

Brought together from divergent backgrounds, geographic locales, and musical genres, The Ringers were assembled by Abstract Logix label founder Souvik Dutta to perform “as a unifying artistic force, one where people put music ahead of their egos to collectively create great music.” With Athens as the first stop on a limited five date run, this will no doubt be a night of unforgettable improvisational collaboration, with Georgia hero and guitarist of Athens’ own Widespread Panic, Jimmy Herring. Don’t miss it!
