Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse to Host Comic Steven Wright in February
Wright is highly regarded by critics, imitated by other comics, and lauded by fans for his highly idiosyncratic stand up style. He has received nearly every honor bestowed to comedians, including being the first inductee into the Boston Comedy Hall of Fame. He received the 1989 Academy Award for Best Short Live Action Film for The Appointments of Dennis Jennings, which he co-wrote and starred in. He has been nominated for several Grammys for his stand-up albums and has had numerous, highly successful stand-up performances and specials for both HBO and Comedy Central. This will be a must-see for any fan of stand up. Check it out!
