The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Presents: Symphony Gala with Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers

Finally, bluegrass, comedy, AND symphony lovers alike can unite under one roof for an intimate and exciting night of music from Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Steve Martin is an actor, comedian, playwright, author, producer, art collector/expert -- and banjoist. One of the most successful and accomplished American entertainers of the last 35+ years, Martin has won the highest distinctions in musical, writing, comedic, and acting disciplines, while most aspire to conquer just one realm. A renaissance man in the truest sense, his recent concentration on his banjo playing and bluegrass songwriting have seen him take several of the most revered stages in American music, including Carnegie Hall and The Grand Ole Opry.

In 2009, Martin teamed up with the Steep Canyon Rangers for a segment on A Prairie Home Companion, and has since been touring with the young group from North Carolina. This ASO event will be a very special annual Symphony Gala to benefit the orchestra and it’s community and educational endeavors. Tickets are available through the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, including Gala tickets, which include pre- and post-concert festivities — such as a cocktail hour, a meet and greet with Steve Martin, dinner, and an after party. Visit aso.org/gala or contact Sarah Levin atSarah.Levin@woodruffcenter.org for these limited tickets.
