School Closings in Atlanta, GA Due to Weather

Heavy rain, flooding and traffic in Atlanta, Georgia and surrounding areas caused school closings Monday morning. Officials in Gwinnett County announced at 8 a.m. that the Gwinnett County School System is closed Monday.  

Carroll, Douglas, Paulding and Stephens counties also closed all schools because of heavy rain and flooded roads. Promise Christian Academy, Lithia Christian and St. John Neumann Catholic School joined the list of closings.
