The Dallas Cowboys not only lost their first game in their new stadium on Sunday night they also lost their number one running back as Marion Barber went down with a quadriceps injury in the fourth quarter after galloping 35 yards.
Barber looked to be going in for a touchdown against the New York Giants when he pulled up, grabbed his leg and went to the turf. He managed to walk off the field but did not play the rest of the game.
Cowboys’ coach Wade Phillips said the team would have to see where Barber was after he went for an MRI on Monday. Dallas will try to capture their first win on Cowboys Stadium next week when they host the Carolina Panthers.
