Variety Playhouse Brings Americana Pioneers Buddy Miller & Jim Lauderdale to Atlanta for an Intimate Duo Performance
In support of their new studio album of duets, notorious songwriters and producers Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale are coming to the Variety Playhouse on March 2nd.
Buddy Miller is one of the most respected producers in America. Working with names like Robert Plant, Richard Thompson, and Patty Griffin, he has crafted an in-demand studio reputation in addition to several acclaimed albums of his own. Collaborations as a player and songwriter with icons like Bill Frisell, Marc Ribot, and Greg Leisz has only bolstered his flawless reputation.
Jim Lauderdale is one of Nashville’s most sought after songwriters. With hits penned for such acts as George Strait, Patty Loveless, and Shelby Lynne, among others, Lauderdale has found favor with critics and musicians alike. His work as a player and collaborator has earned him a Grammy for an album with bluegrass pioneer Ralph Stanley, as well as notable projects with Larry Campbell, Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter, and Hot Tuna.
