The Allman Brothers Announce 2013 Residency at The Beacon Theatre in March
The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers from Macon, Georgia announce their annual spring residency at New York’s famed Beacon Theatre. Since 1989, the Allmans have been lighting up NYC with their yearly Beacon runs, featuring special guests, huge jams, and rare tunes.
The Allman Brothers are American music icons that have defined the Southern rock style. Along with peers like The Grateful Dead, they crafted the American improvisational rock format by incorporating the exploratory freedoms of jazz with the high energy and soul of rock and roll, R&B, blues, and gospel. With a career spanning almost 50 years and the survival of personnel changes, addictions, personal traumas, and the deaths of founding members Duane Allman and Berry Oakley, the Allmans are an anomaly in the music world and a model for longevity in the touring business.
This special yearly event has become a legend in it’s own right. Don’t miss out on this special 10-night run that is sure to be one of the most all-star musical events of the year!
*Tickets are available through The Beacon Theatre Cost: $50.99 - $150.99 / night Dates run March 1 - 16
