Miley Cyrus’ heartbreak over the loss of two of her dogs is being mended with the help of a small Chihuahua mix puppy named Bean. The pop star proudly introduced Bean on Twitter Thursday, saying the puppy has “brought so much sunshine.”
"Meet Bean," she wrote. "Bean is a little girl. She is a chihuahua mix of some type. She brought so much sunshine!"
Cyrus, who is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth, was left heartbroken last month when her Yorkie mix Lila died following a run-in with her other dog Ziggy. "For some unknown reason, Ziggy...grabbed Lila. Not really sure if she was playing or what? She grabbed her in just the wrong spot and Lila didn't survive,” Cyrus’ mom Tish wrote in a blog post.
The 20-year-old singer also shared her sadness on Twitter. "Can't think of one good reason to get out of bed today. For everyone asking...I have never been so hurt in my life. My heart has never been so broken...Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away,” she wrote.
Due to Ziggy’s involvement in Lila’s death, Cyrus found the bulldog a new home with the help of SPOT dog rescue.
Cyrus has four other dogs in addition to Bean – Floyd, Happy, Mary Jane and Penny Lane.
