Tiger Woods closed out his third round with 11 straight pars and ended the day shooting a 69 leaving him two shots behind the leaders at the Buick Open.
Going into the final day Woods will have a pair of rookies to knock out of his way if he is to win the Buick Open for the fifth time. Andrew Buckle is one of the rookies Woods is chasing. Buckle finished the day shooting a 4-under 68 to land him in the final group for tomorrow. Joining Buckle will be Brandt Snedeker who shot a 74 and is tied with Buckle atop the leaderboard at -11 under.
While the pair of rookies are holding on to the top spot, Kevin Sutherland managed to birdie the 18th and finish with a 2-under 70 and placed his name third going into the final day of play. It was Sutherland’s birdie that knocked Woods out of the final group and earned Kevin the honor.
If Woods is able to capture the Buick Open it will be the seventh straight PGA Tour event that he was won.
