College Basketball: AP Top 25 Scores from Jan. 27

Florida Gators and North Carolina Tar Heels cruise while Ohio State Buckeyes and Memphis Tigers survive.

The #1 Florida Gators (19-2) had a trio of starters score 17 points and they shot 58 percent from the field as they crushed their SEC opponent the Auburn Tigers (13-9) 91-66. Lee Humphrey, Al Horford, and Taurean Green each scored 17 for the Gators. Quantez Robertson scored 17 points for the Tigers.

The #4 North Carolina Tar Heels (19-2) got 18 points and 8 assists from Ty Lawson and Tyler Hansbrough added 14 points and 6 rebounds to beat the #17 Arizona Wildcats (14-6) 92-64. Chase Budinger led the Cats with 16 points and 7 rebounds. The Tar Heels built an 18 point lead by halftime to cruise to the 28 point victory.

The #5 Ohio State Buckeyes (18-3) had a 20 point lead at halftime and then had to hold on to beat the Michigan State Spartans (17-5) 66-64. Greg Oden finished with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Jamar Butler added 12 points in the Big 10 match-up. Drew Neitzel led the Spartans with 29 points.

Antanas Kavaliauskas scored 20 points and Acie Law IV added 19 points to lead the #6 Texas A&M Aggies (17-3) past the Oklahoma Sooners (11-8) 70-61. Law added 6 rebounds and 7 assists to his line in the win. Nate Carter led the Sooners with 19 points. Oklahoma shot just 4-17 from beyond the three-point line.

Aaron Brooks scored 31 points and Malik Hairston added 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds as the #7 Oregon Ducks (19-2) came back to beat the #20 Washington State Cougars (17-4) 77-72 in overtime. Derrick Low scored 37 points and Kyle Weaver and Chris Matthews each scored 13 points for Washington State. Oregon out-rebounded Washington State 38-23 in the game

Mario Chalmers and Brandon Rush each scored 21 points to lead the #8 Kansas Jayhawks (18-3) past the Colorado Buffaloes (5-12) 97-74. Kansas shot 55 percent from the floor and forced Colorado into 30 turnovers. Richard Roby scored 30 points for the Buffaloes.

The #9 Pittsburgh Panthers (19-3) jumped on the St. John Red Storm (12-9) early and cruised to a 72-46 win on Saturday. Aaron Gray scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Levon Kendall finished with 6 points and 9 rebounds in the Panthers win. Pittsburgh out-rebounded St. Johns 40-26 in the game.

Jeremy Hunt scored 21 points to help the #11 Memphis Tigers (17-3) sneak past the Southern Miss. Golden Eagles (13-6) 67-64. Joey Dorsey added 7 points while pulling down 16 rebounds in the win. Jeremy Wise scored 28 points and Demar Dotson had 10 rebounds in the Southern Miss. loss.

Patrick Beverley scored 19 points and Steven Hill pulled down 16 rebounds as the Arkansas Razorbacks (14-7) upset the #12 Alabama Crimson Tide (15-5) 63-57. Sonny Weems added 16 points and 9 rebounds for the Razorbacks. Richard Hendrix finished with 28 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Terrel Harris scored 21 points and Mario Boggan added 17 points and 9 rebounds as the #13 Oklahoma State Cowboys (18-3) beat the Iowa State Cyclones (11-9) 62-50. Oklahoma State shot 45 percent from the floor while Iowa State could manage just 32 percent shooting.  Mike Taylor led the Cyclones with 13 points.

AJ Graves scored 15 points and had 7 boards and Mike Green added 13 points and 6 rebounds to lead the #14 Butler Bulldogs (19-2) past the Detroit Titans (7-13) 68-58. Butler was up by 14 points at the break and shot 42 percent from beyond the three-point line. Brandon Cotton led Detroit with 28 points.

The BYU Cougars (15-6) out-rebounded the #16 Air Force Falcons (19-3) 42-20 along the way to their 61-52 upset victory. Trent Plaisted scored 22 points and had 7 rebounds while Keena Young and Austin Ainge each added 8 boards in the win. Matt McCraw led the Falcons with 14 points.

Nick Fazekas scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lift the #18 Nevada Wolf Pack (19-2) past the Utah State Aggies (15-6) 79-62. Ramon Sessions finished with 13 points for the Wolf Pack who shot 50 percent from the field in the game. Jaycee Carroll led the Aggies with 15 points.

Colin Falls scored 23 points and Rob Kurz added 10 points and 10 rebounds as the #22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (17-4) beat the Villanova Wildcats (14-6) 66-63. Scottie Reynolds led Villanova with 19 points and 8 assists. Both teams struggled from the field with Notre Dame shooting 34 percent while Villanova shot just 33 percent from the floor.

DJ White and Roderick Wilmont each scored 15 points to lead the #23 Indiana Hoosiers (15-5) past the Michigan Wolverines (16-6) 76-61. The Hoosiers shot 50 percent from the field while holding the Wolverines to just 34 percent shooting from the floor. The Hoosiers out-rebounded the Wolverines 34-24 in the game.
