Kate Middleton will quietly celebrate her birthday this week at her parents’ Bucklebury, Berkshire home, according to a royal insider. The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge turns 31 on Wednesday, but she doesn’t want to mark the occasion with a big celebration. An insider tells Us Weekly magazine she “just wants something low-key.”
"I suspect she will spend it at her parents' house,” the source says.
A St. James Palace spokesperson confirmed that Middleton and Prince William will celebrate “privately.”
Middleton’s pregnancy was announced last month after she was hospitalized for severe morning sickness. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," the palace said. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."
