Marcheline Bertrand Passes Away, Daughter Angelina Jolie and her Partner Brad Pitt at her Side.

Angelina Jolie traveled across the country to be by her mother’s side just hours before she passed away. Marcheline Bertrand had been diagnosed with cancer almost seven years ago.

Along with Jolie and Pitt, Angelina’s older brother James Haven was at Bertrand’s Cedar-Sinai Medical Center bedside when she passed away on Saturday. 
 
Bertrand was married to actor John Voight from 1971-1976 and the couple had two children Angelina and James. Voight left the relationship when Jolie was just a young child. Jolie didn’t speak to her father for years but the two appeared to patch things up when they co-starred in the film “Tomb Raider.”

Jolie and Voight had another falling out and once again they are not on speaking terms.

There are different reports as to how old Bertrand was, with some biographies listing her age at 56 while others indicate that she was 59.
