For the first time in 7 years Justin Timberlake fans can look forward to new music from the singer/actor. Timberlake announced the news Thursday with the tweet “To whom it may concern…I think I’m READY” linking to a video on his website. The video shows the 31-year-old walking into a recording studio while he explains why he waited to return to music, his first love.
"Someone asked me the other day . . . 'So are you just done with music?' [Music] means more to me than anybody else in the world,” he says.
“I don't want to put anything out that is . . . something I don't love. You just don't get that every day,” Timberlake explains. “You have to wait for it."
The clip ends with Timberlake saying “I’m ready.” A countdown clock, which is set to end on Monday, appears after the video.
Timberlake spent his time off from music making movies. He has starred in The Social Network, Bad Teacher, Friends With Benefits and In Time among others. Timberlake wed longtime love Jessica Biel in December.
