Some of the ones mentioned were Weight Watchers, Curves, and Jenny Craig. The important thing to remember with losing unwanted pounds through a temporary program is to change lifestyle habits to avoid gaining back the pounds lost after the program is over.

One unique perspective offered by a respondent encourages loving yourself enough to make changes that will benefit you and those you love. Good health raises quality of life not only for the one following healthy recipes but also for their loved ones. Education on the best foods to eat and the ones to discontinue is a good place to start. Don't view healthy lifestyle changes as a diet but instead view them as a way to honor what God has given. The Lord gave the children of Israel specific guidelines on what they should eat. He desires that his children be healthy, our creator knows what works best for us.

Many respondents felt it was important to mention the importance of having a balance. Consider this comment by a participant, "Lifestyle change is a well rounded life in nutrition, exercise, water, sunshine, temperance, air, rest, and trust in God. A good relationship with our Maker and with mankind" will lead to abundant living. Find opportunities to walk whenever possible. Eat more fruits and vegetables along with drinking lots of water. Choose healthier items on the menu at restaurants and fast food establishments.
