PosTrack selects Comdasys’ Mobile Convergence for providing Unified Fixed-Mobile Communications services to Universities and Businesses

PosTrack deploys Comdasys Mobile Communications in conjunction with Siemens Enterprise Networks’ OpenScape platform

Munich, Germany and Chicago, IL , 25 September 2009 – Comdasys, (www.comdasys.com), the leading provider of integrated and Unified Fixed-Mobile Communications solutions for enterprises and service providers and PosTrack Technologies, (www.PosTrack.net) a hosted services provider with 25-years in the technology business targeting the IT needs of the education, healthcare, and enterprise IP telephony markets, today announced that they have signed an agreement by which PosTrack will deploy Comdasys Mobile Convergence in higher education campuses, K-12 districts, healthcare organizations, and businesses.

“PosTrack will deploy the Mobile Convergence in combination with the Siemens Enterprise Network OpenScape platform to provide students and staff of higher education schools the benefits of unified mobile communications services such as on-campus VoWLAN, fixed-mobile converged communications, Mobile E-Mail, Instant Messaging and Presence”, said Tony Brncich, SVP of PosTrack’s Telecom Division. “We have chosen Comdasys because of its leading position in the Unified Fixed-Mobile Communications market and the reliability of their products”, he added. PosTrack provides an alternative for clients that historically have purchased, maintained, depreciated, and then periodically replaced their telecom equipment. PosTrack’s hosted model allows clients to reduce or eliminate large capital expenditures and unpredictable maintenance/upgrade costs.

The Siemens Enterprise Network OpenScape platform and the Comdasys Mobile Convergence Controller platform provide PosTrack clients with enterprise class voice services alongside services such as Mobile E-Mail, Instant Messaging and Presence. The Comdasys MC Solution has two components, the MC Controller and the MC Client. The MC Controller supports a broad range of PBX features through seamless subscriber interface integration. Comdasys sells the MC Controller in three models scaling from 50 to 1500 users. For larger users Comdasys licenses the MC Controller software for integration into blade servers and thus scaling to service provider grade. Easy to be used the MC Client deployment and remote configuration tools are integrated in the MC Controller. The MC Client is a software module that is integrated in mobile handsets. It provides an intuitive and homogeneous user Interface for across basebands such as WIFI, Cellular and GPRS/UMTS for rich IP-PBX feature access.

The Comdasys MC Client supports the widest range of handsets such as all Nokia single and dual mode phones, all Symbian based LG and Samsung handsets, all Blackberry of recent release, iPhone as well as Android and Windows Mobile phones.
