Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), recently announced  that for the first time, readers of Logistics Management have ranked it the No. 1 National LTL Carrier in the publication's Quest for Quality Awards. Voters gave the company top scores in the on-time performance, value and customer service categories. Since its first Quest for Quality Awards mention in 1988, the company has been recognized as among the nation's best regional LTL carriers 18 times.

Honorees were recognized at an awards dinner following the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Annual Conference in Chicago Sept. 23. This year, readers deemed on-time performance most important, followed by value and customer service.
