Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a contract to supply the Royal Moroccan Air Force with Sniper(R) Advanced Targeting Pods (ATPs). The contract for $30 million includes integration support, spare products and logistics support. The Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods will be installed on the Royal Moroccan Air Force’s F-16 block 50 aircraft.

Sniper ATPs provide long range positive identification of targets and real time targeting. The tracker enables laser guided weaponry use against moving targets. The Sniper pods will include a video down link that will relay video to deployed forces for rapid target coordination using the Rover ground receiver.
The Sniper ATP is currently deployed within the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and 11 international air forces and coalitions. The Sniper pod is currently operational on the F-16, F-15, B-1, F-18, Harrier, A-10 and Tornado Aircraft. Integration on the B-52 is currently underway.
