Armstrong Elect’s Four New Members to Board of Directors

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (NYSE: AWI) have announced the election of four new members to their Board of Directors. David Bonderman, Kevin R. Burns, James C. Melville and Edward E. Steiner will fill the empty slots on the Board following previous resignations.

Armor TPG Holdings nominated Bonderman and Burns to the Board of Directors. Asbestos Personal Injury Settlement Trust nominated Melville and Steiner.

 

David Bonderman is a founding partner of TPG. TPG makes investments in operating companies through acquisitions and restructuring throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Kevin Burns has been a partner in the Operations Group of TPG since 2003. In March 2008 he became the Partner in Charge of their Manufacturing/Industry sector.

 

James Melville is a member of the law firm of Kaplan, Strangis and Kaplan, P.A. He has been practicing law in corporate, securities, governance and financial sectors since 1994. Edward Steiner has been a partner at Keating Muething & Klekamp since 1993. He has worked in the business representation and transactions practice group.
