AP Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Scores

Kansas Jayhawks and Butler Bulldogs cruise, Pittsburgh Panthers claw in AP Top 25 college basketball action from Monday.

The #6 Kansas Jayhawks (19-3) went on a 27-0 run and outscored the Nebraska Cornhuskers (12-8) 43-16 in the first half to earn a 76-56 Big 12 conference win. Brandon Rush scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Julian Wright finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds in the Kansas blowout. Kansas out-rebounded Nebraska 44-19.

Levance Fields scored 20 points and Aaron Gray added 14 points and 10 rebounds as the #7 Pittsburgh Panthers (20-3) overcame a halftime deficit to beat the Villanova Wildcats (14-7) 65-59 in Big East action. Curtis Sumpter led Villanova with 21 points and 9 rebounds.  
 
The #13 Butler Bulldogs (20-2) jumped to a 23-point halftime lead and cruised past the overmatched Illinois-Chicago Flames (9-14) 71-45. Mike Green scored 16 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and handed out 6 assists in the win while Pete Campbell added 17 points for the Bulldogs. Butler was 11-25 from beyond the three-point line while the Flames were a cool 2-16 from the same distance.
