Paris Hilton Files Lawsuit, Looks to Shut Down Web Site

Paris Hilton filed a federal lawsuit on Monday in an attempt to shut down a website that is selling some of her most personal belongings.

Photographs and videos of Hilton, recorded phone conversations along with phone numbers of her friends, and diaries the “Simple Life” star kept were acquired by Nabil and Nabila Haniss. The two paid $2,775 for the contents of a storage facility that had housed the belongings.

The LA storage facility auctioned off the belongings after Hilton failed to pay the storage fees.

Hilton has said that the storage fees were to be paid by a moving company and she was stunned after learning the contents had been auctioned off.

The lawsuit filed by the 25-year-old heiress claims that Nabil and Nabila purchased the contents and then sold them to Bardia Persa for $10 million. Persa then created ParisExposed.com and offered the belongings for sale. As part of a $39.97 fee Persa also offered access to Hilton’s medical and legal documents as well as her passport.

Paris and her sister, Nicky, moved personal belonging to the storage facility two years ago after the house they had been living in was burglarized.

Addressing the sale of her possessions Hilton said, "I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters' private personal belongings for commercial gain."

Hilton is seeking the return of all her personal items.
